Solomon Higgins, Centenarian

Mr Solomon E. Higgins was born in the district of Epworth on the 24th December, 1912 to Mr. & Mrs.
Charles Higgins. The union bore 8 other children, 5 boys & 3 girls. He went to the Epworth elementary school. His years of working were spent at Annandale Reynolds Jamaica mines & in & around the district where he could get available carpentry work. He is up to now an outstanding member of the Methodist Church. His father hails from Epworth while his mother hails from Pimento Walk.
In his youthful years he met and married one Millicent Brown of Davis Town. They were married in 1949
& the union bore 5 children. In celebration of his 105th Birthday he received a letter & greeting from Queen Elizabeth.
